Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 11, 2026
Plain-language summary: TicketScout doesn't have a server-side database. Anything you enter — an account name, a tracked price, a note — is saved directly in your own browser's local storage and never sent to us. Event listings are fetched live from Ticketmaster by your browser. We don't run analytics or ad trackers on this site today.

Information we collect

TicketScout is a static site with no backend server or database. Anything the app appears to "save" — your sign-in name and email, tracked prices and alert preferences, Encore notes, and any photos you upload to a past event — is stored using your browser's local storage, on your own device. It never travels to a TicketScout server, because there isn't one to send it to.

This also means that data is tied to one browser on one device. Clearing your browser data, using a different browser, or switching devices will not carry it over.

Third-party services we rely on

  • Ticketmaster Discovery API — event listings and pricing are fetched directly by your browser when you load the site. That request goes straight to Ticketmaster, so their own privacy policy governs what they see (typically your IP address and request details, same as visiting any website).
  • Google Fonts — this page loads typefaces from Google's font CDN, which involves a request to Google's servers.
  • Marketplace links — when you click through to view or buy a ticket, you leave TicketScout and land on that marketplace's site (Ticketmaster, and others as they're connected), subject to their own privacy policy.

Cookies & tracking

TicketScout does not use tracking cookies or run analytics scripts. Browser local storage is used only to make the app itself work (remembering your sign-in and preferences) — not to track you across other sites.

How we make money

We earn a commission when you buy through a link to one of our marketplace partners. This doesn't involve sharing any personal data with the marketplace beyond the referral itself, and it never changes the price you pay.

Children's privacy

TicketScout is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If TicketScout adds real accounts or a backend in the future, this policy will be updated to reflect exactly what's collected and why before that change ships.
